DIG COLLECTIVE

DIG COLLECTIVE is a living space for creative investigation, presence, and self-discovery through art and education.
Created by artist Dig Ferreira, the collective connects people through drawing, sound, meditation, conversation, and performance — turning artistic practice into a field of transformation and collective awareness.

Rooted in the practice of art education, the project reimagines the classroom as a ritual space — where participants learn not through technique, but through experience, intuition, and connection.
Here, art becomes both a tool and a teacher: a way to explore who we are, together.

🖋 I DON’T KNOW HOW TO DRAW

A journey of self-discovery through drawing

“I Don’t Know How to Draw” is a participatory workshop that redefines the act of drawing as a practice of freedom, memory, and awareness.
Created over seven years ago, the project has evolved through numerous sessions held across Brazil and New York City, developing a strong foundation in collective creative processes and experiential learning.

Developed from Dig Ferreira’s decade-long live art project DOC-DRAWING, this experience invites participants to explore other parts of the body — such as the mouth or the non-dominant hand — as tools of expression.

Rather than focusing on technique, the workshop becomes a mirror for presence, vulnerability, and creative rediscovery.
Each session unfolds like a collective ritual — blending meditation, art-making, and reflection.

The project stands as part of Dig Ferreira’s ongoing art-education practice, where art functions as both a pedagogical and transformative space — fostering inclusion, emotional awareness, and self-expression.
